Alice has arranged a carpenter to hang up the basketball- and badminton nett. It looks great, and the kids love to play the sports in a safe enviroment. Without moterbikes in the street, they can play without being disturbed!

The computer has been udated, the memory card is ok now (this was broken) the power supply has been orderd and has now arrived in the shelter, so we can start with the computer lessons! The kids and teachers are very happy! It is an absolute advatage for these children to work with a computer, it will make their chances in the modern life much bigger! Many thanks to VIJI and RITu for your time, your attention, your kindness, your help. They came today for donations and to do hands-on work for the shelter! Ritu plays with kids and teaches english. KThe kds are very happy with her. Viji is going to do voluntary work, once or twice a week, will be helping to give attention to the kids in the playgroup-morning class. As we have many pople participating in the afternoon class; Marry, Ade, and of course Keiko (english) and Tanti (music-cooking) it is perfect for Viji to join in the morning class. She will also be involved in finding the creativity material for the playgroups. As we have a monthly theme and events scheduled. As exsample next month the theme is ‘ people’ . Kate, our new volunteer, is helping to start up the immunisation program and organized a seminar. It was a day for the mothers and the older children which was very useful and quite new. The sexual education day was recieved well in the community, and we are happy to introduce these very importantthings. After more than a year active in this neighborhood we have accomplished the trust of the people to handle these sensitive and delicate subjects! Alice organized a caprpenter to fix the cupboards in the computer room…and it looks perfect! The kids and the teachers are very happy with this new and neat look of Indoshelter!

We have bought a djembe for our music class. Tanti thought that it would be perfect if we would have a big djembe so we can complete the percussion music group. Now the kids are practising a lot, and are very happy!
As our goals are to educate children and their parents about good health, food and hygiene, we are keen on this. Keyko noticed that the kids were often dirty and smelled a bit…so we made this into a game! We organised a bath contest for the mothers. They learned what a good bath means and why it is important, also after the bath there was cutting nails and cleaning
ears with baby oil and a cotton bud. It was a great and educating day, with a lot of smiles, some drinks and a winner of course!
We have had a incredable donation, we have got our own laptop!! Now the children can learn to use word and exel. They will be in a big advantage with this skill. We have cleaned the shelter and moved things around. So now there is a beautiful computer room! The toys room is all neat and there are some nice posters of Indoshelter in the main class room. We are very proud of this, and so are the kids!
